Adoption Finalization Day! April 2, 2007

For adoption finalization, you go before a judge and the lawyer tells all that you have done to prove that you will be good parents and that there has been nothing to jepordize the safety of the child. The judge looks over the paperwork and then asks questions to both parents and the lawyer. Then he decides whether or not to allow the adoption to be final. Apparently he decided we were good for Hunter. Then Hunter's name was changed and we applied for birth certificate that has his name. After years of waiting and 6 months of having him in our home, we are officially parents!

Hunter's First Thanksgiving

But wasn't so thrilled about it!
When we got back to our hotel, he was a little happier.
Sabrina's mom and dad were happy that Hunter could be there for Thanksgiving and they all had so much fun together with the new baby.

After six years of marriage, we were blessed with adopting a little baby boy. We named him Hunter Scott Cowan. Born 9-26-06 In Mesa, AZ.
