This was back in Bloomfield, Iowa. I was inside doing dishes and Hunter went outside. A couple minutes later I heard him calling for me and I said just a minute. Well, it was a couple of minutes later and he was really quite, so I thought maybe he had wandered off. So I hurried outside and couldn't find him. I looked in the bike trailer and there he was asleep. He had even buckled himself in. Apparently he buckled and couldn't get out and that was when he was calling for me, and while waiting he fell asleep! He loves riding in the trailer. Thank you Katie Ripplinger for letting us use it!!

Back in Missouri
Well, almost 2 weeks ago we ended up back in Missouri. We are staying in a town called Grain Valley. It's 20 minutes away from Independence where we have stayed before, but the other RV park was full when we needed to move. We were supposed to be here 4 days and we have now been here a week and a half. It has rained on us quite a bit since we've been here, so it's wet and not much to do in the rain. This place has a pool, though and we have taken Hunter a couple of times and he just loves it. They also have a playground that he always wants to go to, when it's not raining. I took him to the zoo last week and got poured on! That part was not fun. I will post pics as soon as time allows! Hope all of you following our blog enjoy! Keep in touch!

Welcome to Iowa!
Our welcome to Iowa was in Bloomfield. After passing the entrance to the campground almost twice, we were greeted with MUD. We pulled in to the campround and since the rain had started, the campround was having trouble with some of their power hookups, so we had to wait a few minutes to find out the spots that had power. After this was done, Ken tried to park the 5th wheel, which in turn got stuck in the mud. He had to tow the grey truck and 5th wheel out with his work truck. This not only happened once, but twice! We were up to our ankles in mud where the trailer was concerned (Hunter's knees!!!). We finally changed spots and had better luck. It only took us over an hour to just park the trailers! Talk about crazy.

When Ken tried to park the cargo trailer, the orange leveling blocks just sank under the muddy water to where I couldn't see the first one anymore.

Independence, MO
We stayed at the Campus Rv Park the couple of times that we have been there. This is a picture of the 1st time. The spiral in the backgound is the Community of Christ "The Temple" (used to be the RLDS church, then changed their name.)
For church, all we had to do was walk down the hill to the right, not in the picture, and there was the church building. Talk about convienience! The 1st time we stayed there, it was too cold and wet to walk, though. The last time we were there, it was a lot nicer weather!
So, here I am again getting behind on letting you know what's going on in our part of the world. After our 1st week in Missouri, we moved up to Trenton, about 2 hours NE of Independence. We were only planning on being there a week, but you know how things go.... Sabrina and Hunter actually were only there for one week and then we went back to Colorado to pack up the house for our renters to move in. We were gone 2 weeks in Cortez and then another week in Aurora with Sabrina's family. After we got back to Trenton, MO, we were there another week or so. We love the families that we have met in Missouri!
We then moved back to Independence, for 3 weeks and Ken was doing work at his boss' shop until he found out where we were going next. During that time in Independence, we adopted a 3 month old Shih Tzu puppy! He is the cutest little guy! We named him Rusty and Hunter is soooo happy to have him around and is so helpful with taking care of him, along with the fish we got a few weeks prior. I don't happen to have his piture on this computer, so I will upload as soon as I get to it..hehe.
After Independence, we moved back to Trenton, for what we thought would be 3 days. I decided to surprise my mom for Mother's day and Hunter and I went back to Colorado for a week. During that time we went to Cortez and Sabrina got her braces off - yeah!! When we got back to Trenton, MO we went to church the next day, then moved on up to Bloomfield, Iowa.

On the move...again!
So it's been a while since I updated, sorry! Well, Ken was out of work from the beginning of Dec 2008 until the end of Jan 2009 and took a local truck driving job to try and get us by. He did that for a couple of weeks, then took some time to practice Tig welding to take a test for a possible job. He tested and busted the same test twice, unfortunately, and is not able to re-test for the same company for a year.
Last week, on Feb 25th, Ken got a call from a company in Independence, MO that he had applied for, and they told him that they wanted him to work for them.
We packed up the 5th Wheel trailer and on Thursday the 26th we drove to Aurora, CO and spent the night with Sabrina's family.
Friday 27th we continued our long drive to Independence, MO. We got to the RV park around 10:30 pm, local time (11:30pm home time). We had a long, but safe travel.
On Saturday the 28th, first we woke up to 2-3" of snow. Then, we found out where some of the stores were for our shopping, gas stations that have diesel and Hunter's favorite, went to Donald's for lunch. Sunday March 1st we went to the Independence 2nd Ward for church. We met some very nice people. It took Hunter a little bit to warm up to the new nursery, but I was finally able to go to Sunday School.
Monday was Ken's first day at work and he has been "schooling" all week. Hunter and I hung out and got to organize in the trailer. Sabrina was able to go to a Mary Kay unit meeting and was so excited, because it's her Director's unit!
Tuseday Sabrina talked to a friend that lives in MO, only an hour away! We went to Monica and Chas Jacobsen's for dinner that night! We had so much fun seeing our friends again. It's been so long! Their kids are sooooooo cute and getting so big!
Wednesday was nice outside. We didn't know this until Ken got home from work and we went to open a bank account here in MO. We I wish I would have tried to go outside sooner!
Thursday was 75 degrees outside! It was soooooooo nice. We walked to the RV office and pd another week on our spot. We had lunch outside on our picnic table. Hunter played outside and had so much fun. After his nap we ran some errands, then Ken called and he was home. We picked him up and went to the park for a little bit.
Today's Friday, we have been here for a week and Ken called this morning and told me that he needs to be in Trenton, MO for work on Monday. So, we will be leaving Independence on Sunday after church. Time to look for another RV park and the manager of the one we're at said there is nothing in Trenton as far as RV Parks, so I guess I will look and find out. I will post more pics if time allows later today. Time to make lunch!
